SLJ Week1 Activity7

 LI:to create an optical illusion.

For our 7th activity for the Summer Learning Journey we created an optical illusion. An optical illusion is something that tricks your eyes. In this illusion I created it is supposed to look like it's going in or like it's going out. We could use a device and google draw or google slides or paper/pencil/ruler. I thought this was fun because at first I didn't know what to come up with.

  1. Kia ora Ong,

Wow, your optical illusion really does look like it’s going in or popping out - ka pai! Was it tricky to create?

There are so many different types of optical illusions that can be created so I’m not surprised it was hard to know what to create! Have you seen many optical illusions before this task?

I remember looking through optical illusion books in the library when I was at school. They are awesome!

    Keep up the good work!

    Nga mihi,

    Charlotte

  2. Hello Ong!

Ka pai for being a Summer Learning Journey participant. It's great to know that you can apply your understanding to create or learn something new. You're optical illusion is crazy! I love it.

Your optical illusion looks a lot like a long, strange hallway or tunnel because of the shapes you used and where you put those shapes. Shading, colour and shape really matters in an optical illusion.

Why are optical illusions able to trick our eyes?

Looking forward to your reply! Ka kite.
