Gymnastics
LI: to develop body movement of balance, rotation and strength.
We stared of gymnastic with some stretches. Our stretches were an L shape, seal, butterfly, act, straddle, back and front side support. Then we got into our rotations. For rotation 1 we had the beam and had to walk backward on it and jump in the middle, we had to do some cartwheels on the box and we had to do the forward roll on the bench. For rotation 2 we had the trampoline to do a dive roll, the backwards roll, scorpion handstand and the 180' jump. Rotation 3 we had the handstands, front support, parallel bars and the back/side/front support. My most difficult activity was the parallel bars.

Earth & Beyond
This week was the first week of our second rotation for Inquiry, LS1 and LS2 are joining together to learn more about space. We needed to use our prior knowledge about space to help us with our first activity which was a bus stop task that I worked together with Alex and Oscar to complete. After that we watched a video on space and the planets in our solar system, we learnt things like Neptune rains diamonds and Venus is the hottest planet.

Measuring Volume
LI: to calculate the volume of an object by measuring with water.
You measure by getting a shape you want to measure with. Then get a cup that your object can fit in, then fill it with water.

Fill it up to 100 ml then you put your object. When the cube goes under the water, the water will rise. Then you subtract the volume of the water, from the volume of the water and the shape.

Kiwi Can / Responsibility
LI: doing things with out being asked.
For Kiwi Can our topic was responsibility and our theme was integrity. For our catch phrase it was: Kiwi Can says: Responsible is what I am, and that's the way of kiwi can. Next we spoke as a group about what the different responsibilities we have to define what being responsibility is. Our activity was: using skipping ropes to balance the ball by working together.

Stardome Trip
LI: to find information.
We went to the Star dome. Star dome is where you learn about space and find out some information on space. On our trip we got to do some quiz, while doing the quiz we also found out some information. Today I found that the biggest moon was the Triton and it only has 2 seasons, and they are winter and summer.

Cause & Effect
LI: What is an exploitation.
LS1 is learning about the causes and effects in writing. We had to write about the ting that happens in LS1 by putting them into cause or effect. Then we had to put them into a casual language.

Kiwi Can
For Kiwi Can our Theme was, integrity and our Topic was, honesty. Our catch phrase was: Speak to me truthfully, that is called honesty! Our activity was called, Roll Play. For our game we were given a situation that involved honesty. My group was given the situation as, cheating. My group had to act so the year 6's could understand.

We had to write three kinds of sentences a simple sentences, compound sentences and complex sentences.

Sailing
LI:to learn how to sail properly.
The year fives and sixes went to Sailing Have A Go. It was an experience for all of us. We had to put on our swim suits and a life jacket. We learnt how to control the boats and how to set the boat up. After lunch, we had some activities that we had to play. We had some challenges and they were: capsizing and more.
