Poems

LI:to identify the purpose of poems.
Poetry is a text for communicating ideas and expressing your feelings to people.
Poetry include sound patterns. They are rhyme and rhythm.
Rhyming is repeating sounds in words.There are four kinds of rhyme: Consonants, end rhyme, alliteration, and assonance.
Consonance is a repeated sound in a consonant.
End rhyme is a rhyme at the end of the line.
Alliteration is a repeated sound in the beginning of the line.
Assonance is vows sounds repeated in each words.
We used a highlighter and a list of poems.
Then we had to highlight the rhymes we thought was right and highlight the kind of rhyme it was.
