Basic Fact
LI:to beat the time for the basic fact.
LS1 was trying to beat the time for the basic fact boxes. We used the online stopwatch and the basic fact boxes.

LI:to play music properly.
For music we played were playing notes for the songs: Shot Gun and the Lazy song. Some people were on the keyboards and some were playing the ukulele. All the others were on the xylophone.

Duffy assembly

Today was the Duffy assembly and we had a special guest his name was Robert Rakete. He was the brown Wiggle from a entertaining kids show. He was also on the Dancing With The Stars. He came to our school to talk about why reading is important to him and about his favourite book Astrix.

Long simple sentences
LI:to write clear and detailed simple sentences.

Term 1 Kiwi Can Overview
LI:to recap everything we did in Kiwi Can.
Today in Kiwi Can we recap all of our learning from term 1. Our big theme was positive relationship, our 3 modules was were positive communication, friendship and co-operation.
We made 3 groups. Each group talked about the 5 w's & h for 1 module. After we talked as a group, each group shared their idea back to the class.
This term for Kiwi Can I enjoyed playing games that related to our module and our theme.
I learnt that positive communication isn't only about speaking.
I need to get better at my general knowledge.

LS1 is learning how to research a range of resources to find information. I was researching information on a soldier called Richard John Spotswood. I found out that he was ranked as, captain in military. We had to find out, about his date birth, when he died, where he lived and where he was buried.

Kiwi Sport
LI:to play Ki O Rahi with the proper rules.
We were playing Ki o Rahi with the proper rules. There were two teams and they were Ki O Ma and Taniwha. The Taniwha can't go in the Pa Whe Ro but can go outside the world. Ki O Ma can only go through the Taniwha base only if they are scoring a try. Each people in each team has two ripper tags each. Every team has to try rip the persons tag if they're with the ball.

LS1 was learning how to play a juet. Everybody had to grab a partner to play with. We had to play the same letter together. We were playing the song One Call Away, Shot Gun and the song.

Poetry include sound patterns. They are rhyme and rhythm.
Rhyming is repeating sounds in words.There are four kinds of rhyme: Consonants, end rhyme, alliteration, and assonance.
Consonance is a repeated sound in a consonant.
End rhyme is a rhyme at the end of the line.
Alliteration is a repeated sound in the beginning of the line.
Assonance is vows sounds repeated in each words.

Basic Fact Boxes
For our basic fact boxes we had to write the correct answers in each boxes. If we get the correct answer, underneath it, it will say Good. If get it wrong it will say Try again.
Kiwi Can
LI: to build Positive Relationship.
Today in Kiwi Can we were learning about friendship. We learnt that there are times we can say NO! We talked about situations when it is okay to say NO!
We discussed different ways to say no that don't cause disrespect to anyone around us.
We did a activity called Empathy Rote play. A had to act out a situation and as, and as a class we need to decide the ways to say NO!
Our option were:
-No thanks.
-Lets do something else instead.
-it's just not my thing.
-That's not a nice thing to do.

Statistics
LI:to learn about the classes or school using statistics.
LS1 was learning about the school or class using statistics. We went around the class to find out where the best place to rest in PBS. Most people in our class said the, fale. There were 51 responses from our whole class. After going around the class we had to do it on our selves.
