Art with David
LI: to show our care awards.
We were trying to help David with his confidence. He told Mrs Anderson if he could do some art with some LS2 students. The art he was teaching us was kind of an illusion type of art.
Light
LI:to share five fact about light that we found interesting.
We worked collarboratively to create a DLO showing facts about light. The fact that I found interesting was that we only can see white light which is made up of 7 colours. I found this interesting because I never knew that white light was made by ROYGBIV. The people that worked in the group with me was Ong and Pouvi
Periscope
Mr Johnston came and taught us what periscopes ares, how they are used and who uses them. We found out that the angle of incidence equals the angle of reflection. That means if the light hits the mirror at a 45° angle it reflects light back at a 45°. It was a fun session because we experimented with mirrors and tried to write our name by looking in the mirror. It was very exciting and fun.

Stand Up
LI: to explain in fewer words what the text is about.
After reading our text we looked at the protests in Aotearoa over time. We decided as a group that the women's suffrage was the most important protest because it meant women were seen as equal after NZ won the right for women to vote first. This is our opinion after sharing our ideas and reading the information.

Six Photos
LI: to infer information using clues in the
The article we read helped us make inferences about NZ history through images that were taken a long time ago. After reading the text we worked collaboratively and used our inferring skills to think about what was happening in the photo and behind the scenes. In my group I had, Juel, Lily, Afatia and Liletina. This activity was fun to complete.

PBS Livestream Assembly
We started a livestream assembly while the Covid-19 lockdown, so we could all get in contact. Thank you to Mrs Pride and Mrs Kirkpatrick for setting up the livestream. My favourite part of the assembly is that certificates.
Food Technology/ Hotcakes
LI: to follow a recipe to make hot cakes.
At tech we were making hotcakes by following Mrs Heka's instructions. We had eggs, milk, flour, sugar and mashed banana to mix all together. Next we had berry's and 4 tea spoons of water to boil in a pot until it gets bubbly. Then we put some butter on a heated frying pan so we can put the mixed eggs, milk, flour, sugar and mashed banana in the pan. Do not put all of the mixed things in altogether, just put a little bit each. When the hotcakes on top has bubbles flip it to the other side for a little while. Lastly your hotcakes are done with some ice-cream and berry sauce on top.
In my opinion I really liked the hotcakes, especially the ice-cream on top.

Cityscape of Yangon
LI:to write a description of our cityscape using prescription.
Did you know in the middle of the city of Yangon there stands the oldest 2,600 year old Buddhist stupa called Shwedagon Pagoda? This is the most prominent building with dark shading. Yangon was named Rangoon before Yangon was named. On the right of the Shwedagon Pagoda there is a kingdom that used to be the king’s.
In the backround of my art I blended warm colours to make a Sun set. I used red, orange and yellow, these are all the colours that I used to make my Sun set colours.
Hydra Maths Challenge
LI:to To understand the exponent of a number says how many times to use the number in a multiplication
This is our maths DLO, I worked together with Matthew. We were trying to solve a question about a hydra, a hydra is a snake but when you cut off the head two more grow on. Next a hero tried cutting off the of the snake everyday. Our answer for the third day of him cutting the snakes head was 8. We kept multiplying it by two. For the last question we got 1024 for ten days.
